SEO and Content Writer, Tax and Real Estate

Contract · Remote, United States

Write and update the guides and articles that explain cost segregation and depreciation to commercial and short-term rental owners, in plain English and sourced to primary material.

What you'll do
  • Research and draft guides and articles for owners of commercial, investment, and short-term rental property, starting from the question an owner actually searches.
  • Source every claim and figure to primary material: IRS publications, Treasury regulations, and the IRS Cost Segregation Audit Techniques Guide.
  • Write a short Quick answer at the top of every page, built to be quoted whole by search engines and AI assistants.
  • Apply on-page SEO basics: titles, descriptions, headings, and internal links to related guides.
  • Refresh existing pages when the rules or the numbers change.
  • Explain rules as rules. Never tell a reader what their own tax result will be; that belongs to the reader's CPA.
What we're looking for
  • Published writing on tax, real estate, or finance, with samples you can share.
  • Able to read a primary source, such as an IRS publication or a regulation, and explain it accurately in plain English.
  • Working knowledge of SEO: search intent, on-page structure, and internal linking.
  • Careful with facts: you cite, you verify, and you flag what you cannot source.
  • Familiarity with depreciation, cost segregation, or real estate investing is a plus.
Location and hours

Fully remote. Contractors may work from anywhere in the United States. Work is scoped per project.

Compensation

Project-based contract rate, agreed before work starts.
